Description: This 15-minute training covers how exposure to respirable crystalline silica may occur when performing pest control work, avoidance measures that can be taken to limit exposure to workers, and what PMPs can do to comply with the new rule. Description: NPMA’s Pest Management in Food Processing & Handling Facilities Exam is a seven-part exam that evaluates your knowledge of the 2016 Standards for Pest Management in Food Processing and Handling Facilities. These standards were last updated in 2013, and this 2016 version provides updates and improvements to better address changing regulatory requirements and Food Safety Modernization Act standards, new technologies and better integrated pest management practices. Successful completion of this exam will earn a certificate of completion that provides evidence of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) training.

All employees of QualityPro accredited companies who perform or sell service in food processing and handling facilities should pass the exam below for the company to earn the QualityPro Food Safety service certification.

Description:  All employees of QualityPro accredited companies who perform or sell a QualityPro Public Health certified service must pass this exam for the company to earn and maintain the the QualityPro Public Health service certification. This exam tests individuals’ knowledge of the following areas: vector control core concepts, safety, customer communications, bed bugs, cockroaches, filth flies, mosquitoes, rodents, biting and stinging pests, wildlife, and pests-related conditions that require medical professionals.

This exam tests individuals’ knowledge of the following areas within the specialty of mosquitoes: public health significance, identification, biology & behavior, control strategies including prevention and equipment, and customer related communication.

Description:  All employees of QualityPro accredited companies who perform or sell a commensal rodent service that has been QualityPro Public Health certified must pass this exam for the company to earn and maintain the the QualityPro Public Health service certification for their rodent services. This exam tests individuals’ knowledge of the following areas within the specialty of commensal rodents: public health significance, identification, biology & behavior, control strategies including prevention and equipment, and customer communication.

Description:  To play their part on an integrated pest management team, PMPs are encouraged to read the study guide provided with this training and pass the exam. This exam was developed through a partnership between the National Pest Management Association and the Stop School Pests Program. This exam tests individuals’ knowledge of the following areas: providing professional pest management services in schools.

Description To successfully manage pest ants, more than one management practice is needed. PMPs often take great pride in properly identifying an ant and selecting the pesticide best suited for the situation. However, correcting conducive conditions is often ignored. In this session I’ll demonstrate how altering the landscape and making other environmental modifications can result in a long-lasting decline in odorous house ant populations around a home. You’ll also learn when it’s suitable to use a hand lens and smartphone to identify ants and when it’s not by listening to the pest ant case studies presented.
