Tim Bird

Tim Bird has been married to his wife Kelly for 22 years and they have 2 children, McGwire & Lilah.Tim has been in the pest control business for over 18 years starting out selling pest control services door to door. We moved to Texas 7 years ago to start Mayday Pest Solutions and now live in Seguin, Texas, a small town just east of San Antonio. Mayday has grown the last 6 years to become a team of 8 wonderful staff who focus on residential and commercial pest control services. Tim’s volunteer work is centered around being very active in church and engaged within the communities he serves; from 20 years serving in the Boy Scouts of America, coaching youth in life and many different sports, serving on several commissions and boards for the city and currently as an ambassador for the Seguin Chamber of Commerce, and have been a regional organizer for several disaster relief efforts all across the country. Tim is fluent in Portuguese after having served a 2 year volunteer mission to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When it’s time to relax and settle down you will usually find him with his family, watching some hockey, Alabama football, or firing something up on the grill.

 

Adam Brashier

Adam Brashier is the COO of Modern Pest Control located in Katy Tx.  He started in the Pest Control industry in 2000 after working as a Credit Analyst and Commercial Lender for Sterling Bank in Houston.  During his time with the company, Modern has more than doubled in size to 30 employees and covering all of South East Texas. He successfully steered the company through the Housing market crash and was the driving force that helped build the Commercial pest control division.  As COO, Adam has transformed Modern Pest Control by developing a mission statement, brand identity, and a corporate culture that strives to take care of customers, employees and the community.

Around the Holidays, Adam has spearheaded efforts of collecting food from their customers to donate to the local food bank. Modern Pest Control’s annual food drive has donated thousands of pounds of food to help feed the community.

Adam graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1997 with a BBA in Finance and obtained a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from The University of St. Thomas in 2005.  In his free time Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing golf and traveling.  

 

Bridget Carr

Bridget Carr is the Co-Owner of Bug Express Pest Control in San Angelo, TX.  Prior to being in the pest control industry Bridget was a teacher and coach for 12 years coaching Volleyball, Basketball and Track. In addition to this Bridget spent 2 years  in the casino industry in Las Vegas, NV where she was working on obtaining a casino management degree.

Bridget runs the day to day operations of the company as well as focusing on the growth and development of the company and its employees.  She is active in her community where she is a member of over 10 civic organizations of which she serves on numerous committees and board of directors.   

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Tony, two kids Beau and Bryce and very dear friend and business partner Patsy. Bridget also is a professional Barrel Racer in the WPRA and travels all over the US when time allows her to follow her childhood dream. 

 

Manuel “Manny” Guzman

Manny is the Owner of Pestrol located in Manhattan, NY. Manny has been in the pest control industry for over 20 years and is currently the Reginal Director to NYPMA, Region 3.

Manny attended Bronx Community College and is very active advocating the importance the pest control industry is too society. He has lived in the Middletown, NY area for 16 years and recently opened his second office in Middletown, NY to increase his coverage area. 

During Manny’s free time he enjoys spending time with his boys ages 19 & 11. He enjoys watching & playing basketball, working out, playing handball, golf & traveling. He travels for tournaments for which he coaches his youngest son AAU Basketball Team. 

With the introduction of Manny’s eldest son Nicholas into the business, he looks forward to bonding, sharing and growing his vision with Nick. 

 

William “Bill” Horgan

Bill is the President of Debug Pest Control in Chepachet, Rhode Island. Bill has been in the pest control business since 2002. Under his leadership, Debug Pest Control has grown 300% in the last decade. Aside from sales growth, his proudest accomplishment is the corporate culture he worked with his team to create. Their shared values about caring and community engagement are at the center of everything Debug does. A big part of Bill’s life revolves around making the people around him happier and healthier. He and the team at Debug regularly participate in programs like Habitat for Humanity, Pledge 1%, and walk to raise funds for health issues like breast cancer, Huntington’s Disease, and heart disease. He and his team also create and maintain pollinator gardens throughout Rhode Island to spread awareness about the importance of protecting pollinators. Bill attended Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a degree in Marketing and Management. When he isn’t working, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, traveling, doing some crossfit, and following his favorite sports teams. Bill’s personal goal is to continue working on his wellness and growing as a leader, husband, father, son, and brother. His future business goals are to work towards doubling the size of Debug in the next 5 years and continuing to improve Debug’s Culture of Caring.

 

Trent Kucherka

Trent Kucherka is the Commercial Operations Director for ABC Home and Commercial Services in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. He began working in the pest management field when he joined ABC in 2015 following 5 years of service in the United States Army.  Trent graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology, and in 2019 he obtained his Board Certified Entomologist certification.

Trent has been married to his wife (Katherine) since 2015 and they have two children (Patrick and Natalie) and a chocolate lab (Rudder).  Trent enjoys spending time with his family, barbecuing, cooking, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and sports.

 

Kaija Saarinen

Kaija Saarinen is the Owner and Operator of Green and Gone Pest Solutions, established in 2016 in Kenora, Northwestern Ontario, Canada. Studying  environmental science as well as marine and aquatic biology, it was a surprise to fall into a career in the pest management industry. It was training animals in her aquarium careers that led to her first position in pest management as a bed bug detection dog handler, and later technician. After relocating and wanting to continue working in pest control, but with no companies located between Winnipeg, MB and Thunder Bay, ON (700km or 430mi distance), Green and Gone Pest Solutions was born.  

Kaija is a Director for the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce and sits as Chair of their membership committee. She also enjoys volunteering and fundraising for her local dog rescue, A Dogs Life Fostering Network. Her interests include fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (usually with her rescue dog, Buck, in tow.) as well as playing hockey and curling.

Clint Sowel is a Regulatory Specialist for Ecolab Inc. Pest Elimination Division based in Eagan, Minnesota. Six years of professional experience in the R,D&E space with a focus on sustainability and regulatory. Currently providing technical expertise for compliance in the fumigation sector. Strong working relationship with marketing, business teams, and Pest Elimination R,D&E in the United States and globally.

 

Trey Strickland

Trey Strickland currently serves as the Technical Leader for Waynes Pest Control located in Birmingham, AL. He is a third-generation pest management professional with 10 years of industry experience, and is currently the Regional Director to the APCA, Region 2.

Trey has a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Auburn University and will be sitting to obtain his Board Certified Entomologist certification.

Trey is married to his best friend, Katherine, and they have 1 son, Logan. He enjoys time with family, involvement with his church and local community, and visiting close friends. Trey enjoys fishing, golf, basketball and watching football.
